The Dept of Defense just gave money to EcoHealth to build labs here in the Philippines, not to diagnose disease in people or animals, but to investigate diseases in wild animals that might spread to humans.
This is what was being done in Wuhan,,,
Since Marcos is trying to make nice with the US for fear of Chinese aggression he might not oppose it. Only the hard left is protesting, and might stop it if enough people read about it.
But money speaks louder than such worries, alas
