Adidas’ divorce from Kanye West could cost the company more than $1.3 billion in revenue after it cut ties with the rapper in the wake of his anti-Semitic remarks, the Germany-based sports apparel maker said.
Shares of Adidas fell 11% on Friday after the firm warned it could end the year at a loss for the first time in three decades as it struggles to sell unsold stock of Yeezy products.
The company said its financial guidance for 2023 “accounts for the significant adverse impact from not selling the existing stock” of Yeezy brand shoes and clothing.

The ugly truth about selling anything that comes in sizes (every without the mercurial winds of fashion) is that you’re going to take a bath on a certain amount of stock. That’s why retailers try for 100% markup on such things.

That has to be the ugliest shoe ever made and I wouldn’t pay that much for a dress shoe to meet the queen. 🤮
