Molnupiravir, the oral pill for COVID-19, may actually be driving the emergence of new, potentially harmful, variants of the virus, according to a Wellcome Trust-funded study at the pre-print stage.
The news may come as a blow for Merck, the drug’s manufacturer, which reported massive revenues over the last year, and for the US government, which heavily subsidised the drug’s production and distribution. It will be vindication – albeit unwanted – for those who warned the drug was dangerous and should not be given emergency-use authorization by the FDA.
Merck’s antiviral drug works by causing specific kinds of mutation in the virus, the theory being that the virus will literally “mutate itself to death”, as Dr Harvey Risch, an emeritus professor from the Yale School of Public Health, explained.
Problems could potentially arise if patients treated with the drug do not fully clear an infection, and a drug-mutated strain escapes and infects other people. That this is now happening – if the new paper is correct – is “not a surprise”, Risch adds.
A team of researchers from the US and UK used global databases of SARS-COV-2 sequences to search for mutations that were characteristic of the changes Molnupiravir makes to the viral genome. They found noticeable increases in such changes in the database beginning from when the drug was first marketed. Importantly, the increases took place in those countries where the drug was used.
The initial inspiration for the study came from author Ryan Hisner, an Indiana middle-school teacher, who noticed that a significant number of new variants of COVID-19 emerged after the widespread distribution of Molnupiravir started to take place.

Dr. Malone said that the reason for the multitude of variants is that the covid vaccine drove their evolution by trying everything too quickly, but not succceeding. It would kill off A, but leave B to reproduce and replace A. The second shot would kill off B, but leave C. Etc.
Peter McCollough predicted it the very first time I saw him in an interview in early 2020.
He said no vaccine that actually could block any disease could be safely developed without years of testing and research on that specific strain.
He said that developing vaccines for viruses like SARS2, which is how COVID-19 spreads, would be next to impossible, as they mutate so much.
To top it off, any vaccine that is released that isn’t capable of stopping the spread, is known as a “leaky vaccine” as it leaks through the vaccine, which causes even more mutation.
To him it was basic science regarding any pathogen like this, and he said many other doctors knew those basic truths as well, but ultimately so few had the guts to speak out. So most everything else we were told was a lie.

As that drives mutations. Well known, until 2019. Then the idiots threw out 100 years of hard earned lessons.
The never-ending stream of variants is why an immune-strengthening approach of exercise, supplements, sleep, and nutrition is VASTLY wiser than an anti-pathogen approach of jabs with life-destroying “side effects.” [in quotes because they may be the INTENDED effects.]

As far as Deep State’s concerned, that’s not a bug.

I was prescribed this last May when I had covid and was told it wouldn’t really help with current symptoms but would prevent long term covid.
I haven’t had any side effects yet.

Or it may mutate itself to our death - notice they say “The theory is...” and not, “We have proved..”
IOW - more mass experiments on people to see what it does to people.
The premise is stupid. ALL vaccines drive the emergence of new variants of ANY disease. A vaccine kills the currant variant, and only the new mutated variants survive the vaccine to propagate and expand in the future. Duh.
This fact says why liberals who claim that a static government-run medical system is adequate are wrong.

Vaccine escape has been known for a long time. That’s why up until the Covid debacle, nobody tried to vaccinate heir way out of a pandemic.

Just like antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Molnupirivir and Paxlovid were submitted at the same time.
The Merck trial (Molnupirivir) showed 30% effectiveness, at best. The Pfizer trial (Paxlovid) showed >90% effectiveness.
It was astonishing that FDA approved the Merck drug, first because of gross inferiority to Paxlovid, and second (and because of the first) its extreme likelihood of generating variants.
Here’s a shock: Covid medicine is poison. None of it has been shown to be remotely effective. At least in the ways we were told. Effective medicine was demonized. They are not stupid people. All this was for money or population reduction.
