This is quite the little drama.
The “donor community” has spoken.

Now if DeSantis TRULY was a Trump supporter OR a MAGA supporter he would merely wait for 4 years and in the meantime work hard for Trump.
But if he runs he doesn't want Trump to be President.
Trump/Lake 2024.

“He needs to seize the opportunity now because who knows what things will look like down the road,” the person said. “He has the momentumYep. His 15 minutes might be up in 2028. JFK in 1960. Clinton in 1992. Obama in 2008. All were young. In their 40s. When you have your chance, you go for it.

He’s a fantastic guy life has put in a very tough spot. God Bless Ron.

I hope he doesn’t run this year.
He is making such a great difference, not only in Florida, but around the country. He’s showing other Governors that fighting back against the woke liberal agenda is possible.

All true. He wouldn’t be governor if not for Trump. If he runs it’ll prove his disloyalty to Trump and to the MAGA base.

I hope not. There is nothing to be gained by not waiting until 2028 (except a shirt-load of campaign cash). In 2028 he will have Trump and the whole GOP behind him. In the mean time he should continue doing what he is doing, instead of resigning as governor. And we really don’t need all this intra-party mud slinging. All it will do is weaken him and Trump.

Since when do we trust leftwing blogs like the Hill to tell us about republican’s plans?

Either man will make a great President in 2024.
Only babies who don’t get their way will sit out the election.

President Trump or nothing. We need to clean up the cheating in our elections or we stop existing.

Yes. Trump and Lake would make a great team . there is no better articulate woman on the scene today than Kari Lake. Also, DeSantis has already said he will not run. The SHILL is nothing more than manipulative fake news.

the absence of fanatical screaming girls thus far is certainly a reprieve

Announcing a 2024 presidential campaign just months after winning re-election as governor of Florida makes the guy a fraud of sorts.
Running in 2028 after he's out of office and can run as a full-time candidate without the baggage of a "real" job would make a lot more sense, it seems.
