I hope not. There is nothing to be gained by not waiting until 2028 (except a shirt-load of campaign cash). In 2028 he will have Trump and the whole GOP behind him. In the mean time he should continue doing what he is doing, instead of resigning as governor. And we really don’t need all this intra-party mud slinging. All it will do is weaken him and Trump.

I doubt he’ll ever get Trump’s support again. He’s not much differentthan Romneyin this way. He begged for his support and when he thought he wasno longer needed he became an enemy. Shows the characterod the man. His play now is run in 2024 or bust. He’ll get destroyed in 2028 because if Trump is President or not this will not be forgotten by Trump or his supporters.
