Trump rips Club for Growth after he wasn’t invited to donor retreat
The Hill ^ | 2/7/2023 | MAX GREENWOOD

Former President Trump lashed out on Tuesday at the Club for Growth, a leading conservative group, after he was left off the guest list of its annual donor retreat.

In a post on his social media site, Truth Social, Trump ripped the group as the “Club For NO Growth” and recounted how his ties to the group fell apart after disagreements over his endorsements in high-profile races in Alabama and Ohio last year.

He also blasted the club for initially opposing his candidacy in 2016 before repeating his false claim that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” against him.

“The Club For NO Growth, an assemblage of political misfits, globalists, and losers, fought me incessantly and rather viciously during my presidential run in 2016,” Trump wrote. “They said I couldn’t win, I did, and won even bigger in 2020, with millions of more votes than ‘16, but the Election was Rigged & Stollen.

“They asked to get together on Endorsements of candidates, we did, and had MANY WINS & NO losses. Relationship broke up over my Endorsement of certain great people in Alabama & Ohio. I won them all!”

Trump’s comments came after the Club’s president, David McIntosh, told reporters on Monday that the group had invited several prospective Republican presidential contenders to its annual donor retreat in Florida, but had left Trump off its list.

Trump is so far the only declared candidate in the race. Among those invited to the gathering are former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

“We’ve invited all of the folks listed here,” McIntosh said. “Not Trump. But we’ve invited the others.”

It’s been shown time and again that most high school teachers can’t pass eighth grade tests. How can they perform adequately as high schol teachers?

Hubby tutored algebra to a girl in our church because she was failing. He showed her how to “work it out” which made it possible for her to understand. (The students didn’t need to show their work. They only needed to pick a multiple choice answer and enter it into a computer.)

Immediately her grades went screaming to the top and the teacher couldn’t understand why. The girl showed the teacher how to get the answer (teacher had no clue) — and the teacher immediately started to single her out for scorn and verbal abuse. The parents had to have her moved to another class.

So I’ve pointed out one underperforming teacher.

I’m glad that we had excellent teachers when I was in school in NYS back in the day. It sure has changed when it comes to high standards.

“for next 15 days”

Attempting quarantine at the community/national/international level was a rational approach, if done with a high-enough (think India or China) level of isolation.

US colander ‘lockdowns’ were fated to be highly ineffective.

“Learning well” in this day and age is subjective since the standards are so low, and the topics are so woke.

If a kid doesn’t “learn well” about climate change or CRT, he would be considered as “learning poorly”.

That stuck out for me as well. That’s editorializing, not reporting. The idea that it is established fact that no significant cheating went on in the 2020 election is complete BS.

“gods of science...There were many Republican governors that did whatever they could to serve the cabal”

arrogant “gods of science” and ‘medicine’

Politicians are generally loathe to contest the opinions of ‘experts’.

I should add that the hospitals did justifiably want the Covid carriers out, but putting them into nursing homes was a bad (and probably politician) idea.

All institutions that form and hold a civil society have been corrupted…. Political, Economic, education, last but certainly not least religious….

There is no more prominent entity of man made climate change garbage, than Rome.. the ‘gods’ of science cover the full spectrum of expertise.

Trump knows the big donor money train is drying up and he is having another tantrum. He can’t raise enough in small donations to run and win. He ran out of money in 2020 and it wasn’t pretty at the end.

When Republican groups are unfair to Trump it works for him... if they’re too stupid to understand that dynamic they deserve to lose.

The teachers often have to pass tests to get their jobs and get continuing education to keep them.

by state:
https://www.weareteachers.com/teacher-certification-exams/

“The California Subject Examinations for Teachers® (CSET®) have been developed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for prospective teachers who choose to or are required to meet specific requirements for certification by taking examinations.”

https://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/PageView.aspx?f=GEN_AboutCSET.html

“Do you need to take CSET subtests in mathematics or science for an initial or additional credential? MSTI offers FREE online, interactive courses and workshops that review the subject matter content included on these exams. All of these live courses/workshops are archived for additional review and are taught by talented instructors with many years of teaching experience.”

https://kremen.fresnostate.edu/centers-projects/teachmathscience/index.html

“Six (6) semester hours of college credit to include at least one (1) semester hour in teaching students with disabilities (SWD) must be earned during each renewal period to renew your certificate.”

In my day, the main problem teachers had was their attitude and not their knowledge.

The second major problem was lack of timely follow up to ensure the subject matter was learned.

“opposing his candidacy in 2016 before repeating his false claim that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” against him.” They always HAVE to add that disclaimer, don’t they? What an idiot headline. They are assigning motive for him. I suspect he realizes what a Deep State tool the CFG is.

“The second major problem was lack of timely follow up to ensure the subject matter was learned.”

In New York in the ‘60s, “timely follow up” was the NY Regents Exams. There was no wiggle room. Either you passed or you didn’t. (And God help you if you were sick that day, which resulted in a do-over — the class not the test. The reason I took Algebra I twice.) The very minute I started my exam in western NY, my cousin in Albany was starting his identical exam.

Our teachers’ attitudes were great then; they cared whether you succeeded or not.

Good grief Trump, stop acting like a two year old, SMH. He’s not gaining any friends, he’s driving people away with his childish antics.
