Governor DeSantis has a job: Governing the State of Florida. As a result, he gets both positive and negative attention in the media and elsewhere for doing his job.
Donald Trump doesn't seem to have a job. He's not president. He's not hosting a reality TV show, he's not running "Trump Inc", he's not even amusing himself and us with the WWE. The only way he gets attention is if he manufactures it. He doesn't seem able to handle that situation like an adult. It's sad, really. For the most part, he was a good President when he held that office.
DeSantis gets things done? What was the last peace deal he brokered or Trade deal he negotiated? What was the last border wall he constructed or liberal Supreme Court decision he was able to reverse due to placing 3 originalists on the court? DeSantis’s greatest accomplishment may be his handling of the Covid crisis which wasn’t perfect but better than most. Beyond that he has a few other wins that he’s been able to achieve with the help of a very friendly legislature, but nothing to compare with Trump, who had to fight for everything he accomplished.
