Poland was partitioned in 1939 between Russia and Germany, and in 1945 the Russians kept their half and added it to the Ukrainian SSR.
It would be simple to give it back.

I could not begin to state a reason
Several Twitter and Telegram reports - zero reports in the Western media. If this is a good quote then the absence of a news story is the story I’m talking about.
So if nothing in the MSM then it doesn't exist? My Google search is weird. Something is wrong.
I listen to these sources. This quote is so absent from the Western media that it seem something big is suppressing it.
Instead of Molotov and von Ribbentrop splitting Poland, Russia and Poland can split the Ukraine this time. Poland will get back the lands stolen from them at the end of WWII; I doubt that they’ll bother to return the stolen German lands.
I am interested as to what Poland considers the western Ukraine - maybe run the border along the Dnieper river. That would be a bit further east than the 1939 borders. Maybe just Volhynia and Galicia. That shouldn’t get it as far as the Dnieper until somewhat north of Kiev.
Start down that road and you are looking at Pomerania and East Prussia being put into play.
Which actually would be a fair settlement. Russia keeps Crimea and gets the two Russian Oblasts in the Ukraine. Germany gets East Prussia and Pomerania. Poles get Galaica and Volhynia. Soros gets the rest of the Ukraine. Everyone gets what they want.
That said, I think this is fake news. Nothing in the Polish, Ukrainian or Russian media about it. If he truly said this yesterday, at least the Russian press would have carried the story.
His comments yesterday were straight US/NATO talking points (with dig at Germans thrown in) according to what I found in Polish and Ukrainian news.

“I don’t think Putin would dare to attack a country that is an active member of NATO. He is anything but suicidal. The western territories of Ukraine will be safe if they temporarily come under the protectorate of the Polish state,” he said.

Russia can take the Russian bits, Poland can take the Polish bits, and Hungary can take the Hungarian bits, and Ukraine can return to what it historically has been - which is nothing.
this has been widely speculated about as part of the ultimate division of ukraine, BUT....
this isn’t being discussed anywhere i can find, including non-US sources. I would assume posters that would be inclined to show this are also having trouble getting any credible source or video for it.

The Polish newspaper Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny published an article claiming that the Polish army is about to attack Ukraine in order to return its eastern lands.
The author of the article, Hanna Kramer, writes that the nervousness of Polish citizens is going off scale today. The fact is that all men aged 18 to 65 receive invitations to military trainings - both those who served and those who have never served in the army. Moreover, military trainings are also held for children from 15 years old.
Various programs and special training camps for Poles have already been created, in which, under the control of the Ministry of Defense, each volunteer will acquire knowledge and basic military skills. The Pentagon also confirmed this information.
According to Kramer, another important evidence of Warsaw’s accelerated preparations for war is the following. On December 6, a draft decree of the Polish government was published on an increase in the number of active troops in 2023 and deliveries of weapons were accelerated.
The article also indicates the date of the beginning of the “March of Liberation” to Kyiv - May 4th. Due to the huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May, Ukrainian units will completely lose their combat capability. Therefore, they will not be able to fight on two fronts at the same time - against Russia and against Poland. This will help the new Polish army to take key positions on the eastern front and even achieve its complete occupation.
