Typical psychologist. The entire profession is made up of charlatans. These are the birds who come up with every one of these destructive social initiatives.

Danang in 1969. Did you ever go into the back waters? To get to this article’s topic of homos’s. Any SF man would kick one of these pukes badly. I ran into only one in over 8 years. The puke was an MI Major who was TDY to Fort Bragg. I was just out of Womack Army Hospital on convalescent leave. I went to the 82nd Airborne O’ Club early Saturday and ran into him. He wanted to see Fayetteville, NC. I drove this — to two SF owned clubs. He sucked an egg and he darn near was killed.
You must not have listened to psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson when he was discussing transitioning with a de-transitioning woman. None of her psychologists told her what he told her about why she was drawn to transitioning. She might have been saved a lot of suffering if they had been giving her useful information instead of pushing her to throw away her natural gender.
Many psychologists are charlatans, needing helping themselves, but some are competent and helpful.

Way back in the 60’s, John W Campbell wrote an editorial in Analog siting a study of mental health ‘cure’ rates.
Cooperating South American witch doctors ‘success rates’; American Psychiatric Association stats; and stats on “spontaneous remission without treatment” of involuntarily committed patients were compared.
The witch doctors & psychs tied, with a dismal ‘success’ rate, well below 50%; but were beaten unequivocally by the reported ‘spontaneous remission’ rates, also below 50%.
I make no claims as to the validity of the actual study, but I definitely remember LMBO when I read the editorial.
