Encouraging Joe Biden—DC's biggest gasbag—to "storytell" during his State of the Union speech?
Worst. Advice. Ever!
And yet, previewing the speech on today's Morning Joe, Jen Psaki, the former Biden spox who is now an MSNBC commentator, actually offered this advice:
"Joe Biden is an amazing storyteller. I mean, you sit in that Oval Office, Karine can tell you, and he can storytell for six hours. He needs to do that in the speech tonight. . . He needs to tell the story."

Great idea. Talk about the time he, Popcorn, Big Mama and Nelson Mandela were all riding in Biden’s semi, back when Biden was a truck drivin’ man.

Substitute “Lie” for Storytell, and this all makes sense. He’ll do it.
Biden couldn’t tell a group of schoolkids the story
of Little Red Ridinghood, without going way, way off track and losing the narritive completely, more than once.

maybe he is (or once was) good at the story telling technique of conversational hypnosis to engage the listener's imagination and facilitate a trance state in the listener. .
