The Russians are said to be massing for an offensive so it stands to reason they’d also be concentrated together in larger groups.
Are there 1,000 dead Russians? Who knows?
But it stands to reason there are higher than typical casualties corresponding with higher than typical troop concentrations.
While I squarely side with the defenders in this war I do hope the Russian commanders will do more to protect their troops.
The US is not an innocent party in this, nor is the present Ukrainina government.
Well ... attackers always have high casualty rates, especially when they have no armor, no air and were sent over flat terrain during an artillery war.
Significantly many of those casualties were from the 155th Naval Infantry Brigade - ‘elite’ Russian troops. 155th NI now wiped out, soon to be reborn with newly mobilized & untrained conscripts.
