Fentanyl is a very powerful and medically useful anesthetic when used properly. The problems with fentanyl do not come from anesthesiologists using it for surgery or from cancer patients using patches doses with it to relieve their pain. The problems come from Mexican cartels swarming the border, Chinese government manufacturers of it and the American people swallowing anything pill shaped from Pedro Chang. Changing it to schedule I will not fix those problems at all. Schedule I drugs are there because they have no legitimate medical uses.

I think Joe’s solution is ‘just say NO’ on the fentanyl issue.
