"RINO" is such a funny acronym. The vast majority of the Republican base use it to disparage the small coalition actually vested with powers in the Republican Party. The people most proud to call themselves "Republican" are likely the same ones whom most Republican voters would call "Republican in name only." The RINOs rule, and the Republican voters hate them for it.

I’ve been voting straight Republican ticket for about 40 years.
All I know about 2024 is that I’m voting for Trump. I’ll write him in if I have to. More than that I really don’t know anymore.
Don’t be so sure. “The wheels on the bus go ‘round and ‘round” Harris couldn’t get out of single digits in her home state during the 2020 primaries and she is one heartbeat away from the Oval Office.
The sooner folks realize the REPUBLICAN PARTY is the problem, the sooner something can be done.
The “Republican” party is not its voters, it is an establishment, globalist organization who doesn’t give a damn about this nation, other than making sure they get to pad their pockets as they export its wealth and sell it down the river.
They are not CONSERVATIVE.. in any fashion. They provide lip service for votes, but will never ever fight or represent conservative values in policy at the national level.
The “Republican” party is just part and parcel of the UNIPARTY.. period.
RINO isn’t really an accurate term, because the RINO’s are actually the Republicans... its the CONSERVATIVES who are not republicans.... they are Conservatives.
Wasn’t Harris the first to be eliminated in the dem primaries for president?
No one wants her in the oval office except a few fanatics like obummer the Marxist.
The GOP party has 32 million registered members.
Trump had 81 million ACTUAL votes.
How many of those would move to a new party with him?
And don’t whine about ‘splitting ‘the vote’.
The useless GOP party would become the 3rd party because most current members would join Trump, along with many independents, and even many democrats who feel that their party has gone too far left and is run by lunatics.

Throw a party? Hell, the RINOs already threw two elections.
Good analysis, and it oints out why voting really doesn’t matter any more, except at the state level.
This guys sums up my point of view well. I would like to see Trump go third party. I think he could win.
I can’t stand RINO’s because they represent their rich donors and not the American people. They are in it for themselves to get rich, fat, and even more stubbornly stupid. See Linda Graham as an example or the late John McCain.
They can NEVER be counted on to do the right thing and in fact tend to stab the American people in the back at a critical time. Again, see John McCain and McConnell.
They are more in bed with dems and globalists than conservative constitutionalists aka Patriots who believe in the constitution as written. Dems and rinos look to work around the constitution whereas patriotic reps and senators work to get things done within it because they respect the founding documents. Dems and rinos do not.
The difference is night and day.
I’ll vote for Trump if he’s the nominee, but I’m ready to declare myself as an Independent. I’m sick of the RINOS kissing democrat butt.
I told the local Republican chairperson that I was a RINO because I was still registered as one but didn’t agree with most of their actions and the lip service they gave to traditional Republican issues or give them money. Thus “in name only”. She didn’t know what to say.
Three. 2018, 2020, 2022.
And the GOP elected to retain its leadership.
The RINO’s currently hold most of the reins of power in the Republican party....but it can’t last for long. Not when the vast majority of right leaning voters both Republicans and Republican leaning Independents hold them in such utter contempt. Their days in power within the party are numbered.
They may get rid of Trump, but that doesn’t mean they’ll win.
Nobody knows what they stood for anymore either.
If you want to remove RINOs from the party infrastructure, get involved at the precinct, district level on up. From what I have seen they are desperate for people! Will you meet RINOs there? Yes! However, if enough people participate and the reality is RINOs are few in number. They exist because they are allowed to exist by default due to lack of conservative participation. Eventually you can push them out and no it won’t happen instantly!!
And no, you won’t get everything you want any more then you did on the playground!
Otherwise, you can continue to complain online. It is easier!
“They may get rid of Trump, but that doesn’t mean they’ll win.”

I think that is one thing the GOPe fails to understand. Okay, they get rid of Trump. Now what about the supporters of his policies? Does the GOP just suddenly forget about all the promises they made to voters for so many decades because Trump actually acted on those issues? Because Trump advocated for something now the GOP has to take the opposite position?
What ARE they going to do about those pesky conservatives? They need the votes and the support so how do they convince the voters that this time they are serious and really will support a conservative agenda?
Anyway, unless they do something about election fraud they are just spitting into the wind, because there is no way they will win another national election.
I think a case could be made to say not all MAGA people are conservative in all ways, at least not traditionally conservative. There’s a lot MAGA folks that are national-populists, that do not trace their political ideology back to Goldwater and others that had a nearly pure conservative ideologies. Personally, I have streaks of national-populism and Libertarian in me that goes along with being fiscally and socially conservative. There are some aspects of conservatism that conflict with my mishmash of political philosophies. I have about given up on trying to unify my politics. But I do know that I will never vote for a Democrat and it’s highly unlikely that I would vote for an independent. I reluctantly hold my nose and vote for RINOs when they are the lesser of evils.
