I don’t believe there are any “good guys” in this entire ordeal.
Russians invaded Ukraine and want to eradicate them. Russians are the bad guys.
Ukrainians fight back against a larger invader because they don’t want to be eradicated. They’re the good guys.
Simple as.
No Good Guys here. Enough war Crimes for both sides. In truth, its a silly border dispute over what is or is not, Russia and is or is not Ukraine. But wars have been fought for silly reasons in the past. The War of Jenken’s Ear comes to mind where George Washington’s brother was lost. From time to time nations, like people, go on killing sprees—This is our time. We forgot WW II so we must have a WW III to remember that “War is Hell”. Maybe we need this—like a big bowel movement to clean the National intestines. This war will end, Ukraine will rebuild, many women will have babies, monuments built, and parades where men old beyond their years will shuffle down streets for years to come. A few will be changed for the better, most will not.
I want the stupid war to end so that no more Ukrainians die and no more Russians die.
Both countries have bad leaders.
I don’t conflate the people of either country with their bad leaders any more than I conflate good Americans with their bad leaders.
