The billionaire Koch brothers’ network of donor-class organizations is vowing to oppose former President Donald Trump as he looks to secure the Republican nomination in the 2024 primary race.
A memo from Americans for Prosperity CEO Emily Seidel details the network’s plan to publicly oppose Trump’s candidacy in the GOP presidential primary — a move that comes as no surprise as the Kochs and former president have long been at odds on policy.
“The Republican Party is nominating bad candidates who are advocating for things that go against core American principles. And the American people are rejecting them,” the memo states:
When you understand the landscape this way, it’s clear: Our country must move past the current political situation – we’ve got to turn the page on the past several years. [Emphasis added]

Lots of people are frustrated. But very few people are in a position to do something about it. AFP is. Now is the time to rise to the occasion.

Pretty obvious.
The TDS GOPe types like the Kochs are the fringe of the party. Unfortunately they control all the levers.
“Koch is not a conservative. He used to pretend but not anymore. He’s an open-borders, anti-cop, anti-defense, Soros-partnering radical. He should wage political war against the Marxists but he won’t.https://t.co/C8cmFnYxBW— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) February 5, 2023”
Mark ought to know. Charles Koch and his now deceased brother had Mark fooled for years. Mark also spent the first 2 years of Trump’s campaign/Presidency as one of his nastiest and most irrational critics. Mark’s a slow learner. It’s amazing how a “thought leader” like Mark can be wrong so often and still be considered a thought leader by his sycophants.
Well, heck now I MUST support PRESIDENT TRUMP
They supported the Tea Party Movement in 2009 and on for a few years.
Little did they know how the TPM helped our country to the degree it did
It led to Trumps election.
The house still has their Tea Party Caucus.
Called the ❗️Freedom Caucus❗️
😎✔️👍❗️
I was worried the Koch-es might support him this time. Whew.
I’m not sure Kochs would call themselves “Republicans” now, but I wouldn’t trust them in either case.
