Exactly. I see so many libtards in my state who insist, “Alcohol kills thousands every year [it does]; weed kills 0”. Um, no. My parents nearly lost their house when some potheads smoked up and decided that lighting bits of paper on fire would be a hoot. In drought-stricken California. The resulting forest fire caused at least $1 million in property damage and the idiots had to be rescued from the consequences of their own actions at taxpayer expense. At least the alcohol companies are honest about the risks involved.

True, which exposes another left-wing lie: that legalizing marijuana will decrease alcoholism. Many people use alcohol and marijuana as complements, not substitutes for each other.
I should add that in this particular case they found no traces of alcohol in the idiots’ systems. My problem is not so much with legalization as a) the way in which it was implemented here in CA (e.g. no way to test for DUI, high taxes which ensure the continuation of a black market) and b) the lies the left puts about to make weed seem safer than it actually is.
