After a Chinese balloon was discovered flying high in the sky in the U.S., the military shot down the balloon with a missile over South Carolina on Saturday.
China responded to the military action threatening to “take further actions” and said it would be responding to “an obvious overreaction and a serious violation of international practice,” Associated Press reported.

Unfortunately China can no doubt send us more balloons than we can afford to shoot down with AA missiles.
It’s becoming apparent the only unique aspect of this particular balloon was that it got into the news. Perhaps because it was lower than most.
If it had not gotten into the news I very seriously doubt the military would have mentioned this particular balloon when they haven’t mentioned all the others over the years. The only reason the military made a thing of shooting it down was because the public was expecting them to.
I wonder if the military will pipe up and tell us about the next one that drifts over, except at a higher altitude which AA missiles can’t reach?
The atmosphere goes a lot higher than does our ‘controlled’ air space. And there is activity up there.
Those working in unauthorized “police stations” should not be deported, but tossed into Club Gitmo.

These coup bastards tracked this balloon in the pacific allowed it into our airspace crossed this country gathered whatever is needed and then shot it down over the Atlantic when the job was done

Testing waters with innocent balloon makes sense. I doubt anything good is found from the remains

What an acting job - Biden didn’t allow the balloon to be shot down until Xi gave him the “Mission Accomplished” message.
What is important to know is WHAT EQUIPMENTS are in that balloon. Have we even tried to retrieve them? Or are they now under the deep blue sea, to be abandoned and forgotten. Or have the Chicoms gotten to the wreckage before we did? If so, that’s gross incompetence on our part.
How many countries have shot down a satellite? One. Who? Us. When? About 40 years ago. A balloon is easy to take down, you just have to pick a place to collect the pieces. I think 50 feet of salt water was a fine place, especially so close to a collection of intelligence outfits. Maybe someone figured out a way to jam it’s transmissions and it was neutralized all the way. Maybe.
I’d give the Chinese that it made little sense to down it once it left the territory.
On top of that, formally recognize Taiwan as the legitimate government of China.
One of PDJT’s biggest and unsaid accomplishments was other countries not ‘trying sh*t’ because they saw strong leadership. This is similar with BHO, he was weak, Crimea was too tempting. Now we have a ‘senile in chief’ and the world is drooling.
