After a Chinese balloon was discovered flying high in the sky in the U.S., the military shot down the balloon with a missile over South Carolina on Saturday.
China responded to the military action threatening to “take further actions” and said it would be responding to “an obvious overreaction and a serious violation of international practice,” Associated Press reported.

They would not hesitate to shoot down a surveillance drone that was overflying their territory.

The Chinese “threat” was just to provide cover for Biden since he let it traverse the continent and its mission was complete.
Wall Street Journal wrote this was their 5th balloon. The previous ones entered the US for much shorter periods and didn’t make the news.
This “threat” was part of the deal, to make Biden look like a strong leader and protector of US citizens. Biden destroying the evidence over the Atlantic was another part of the deal.
Saving face. It’s what they do. They will NEVER admit what they did was wrong.

They are running out of money, their COVID policies are being opposed by the Chinese people, their financial structure - with the collapse of Evergreen - is falling apart, their foreign investment meant to ensnare and subjugate foreign countries is failing, their new buildings are disintegrating before they are finished and the CCP is plotting against Xi, etc, etc. He’s looking for a scapegoat, someone to take the heat off of him and Biden OWES him BIG TIME. XI can make the US look bad with hapless useful idiot Biden in charge and satisfy some of his critics.
It could have just as easily been carrying plutonium dust or a nuclear device or a bio weapon maybe one like covid.

I ask China to explain their behavior with the balloon and how it matches the noble spirit of their “Half Quilt Story.”
