During an interview that aired on Thursday’s broadcast of Hugh Hewitt’s nationally syndicated radio show, former President Donald Trump, now a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, took a shot at his possible rival in the contest, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
Trump recounted his version of DeSantis seeking his endorsement in the 2018 Florida Republican gubernatorial primary against then-Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
According to the former president, DeSantis begged for the endorsement. Trump also claimed he had to help DeSantis in his run in the general election against then-Tallahassee, FL Mayor Andrew Gillum, the Democratic Party’s nominee.
“[R]on DeSantis got elected because of me,” he said. “You remember he had nothing. He was dead. He was leaving the race. He came over, and he begged me, begged me for an endorsement. He was getting ready to drop out. I gave him an endorsement, and as soon as I gave that endorsement, in fact, I said you’re going to have a hard time. He was running against Adam Putnam, the commissioner of agriculture, who had a massive lead. He was running for eight years while he was commissioner. He had $40 million in cash. I believe it was forty, and he was up in the poll massively by, you know, tremendous, but not catchable, not even catchable. He said if you endorse me, I’ll win. And there were tears coming down from his eyes. He said if you endorse me, I’ll win. I said you know what, Ron, Ron was one of 150 people that was on television. I mean, Jim Jordan was the best, and others were great. But he was one of 150, Hugh, that was on television, and he was supporting me on the impeachment hoax number one and a little bit on the impeachment hoax

LOL. The fact that Trump evicted Epstein from Mara Lago is well known. Widely reported. And, well after he said those words. Again, many of us have unknowingly associated with people we regret. Life happens. He’s Donald Trump. Not Jesus Christ.

LOL. 21 YEARS ago. Long before anyone knew what Epstein was all about. 21 years ago there was absolutely no suspicion whatsoever of Epstein’s illicit activities.
The press and the police didn’t know what was going on at first. But what we do know, now, is that Epstein recruited Virginia Giuffre from Mar-A-Lago in 2000. She is the main witness against him. And Trump gave a glowing interview of Epstein and their friendship in the interview in 2002.
Epstein was eventually arrested in 2005, but you still haven’t shown any proof Trump disassociated himself by then, even though I’ve asked you to back that claim of yours up several times now. Do you have any proof, or not? If you have it, great, this isn’t great having such a cloud over a former President who’s running again. Thanks.

As I have said, if this was even remotely a possible point of attack on President Trump it would have been used long ago by the Dems and the DC Establishment that despises the man with a hatred beyond anything most people can understand.
The fact that this has never been even hinted about by the DC Deep State Establishment as a mode of attack against the man is ALL the proof that is needed that this is total BS.

Ridiculous. Most Dems see the behavior by Epstein as perfectly acceptable, you can't even name one Dem who has said anything against him since he was a big donor to them. As this weak denial is the only defense you can seem to muster, my point stands that Trump was a long time friend of Epstein until he was busted, and he met the main witness against him at Mar-A-Lago while they were still close friends. If you ever find any actual proof to the contrary LMK.

It did come up again, when he brought Acosta into his admin. Acosta gave Epstien the sweetheart deal. Barr and his father are both tied to Epstien going back to the 70s.

Again, if there was even a remote chance of attacking the man with this it would have happened a long time ago. The FACT that this line of attack has never happened by any of the man’s numerous enemies in the DC Swamp should be a CLUE to you there’s no There There. But you just keep deluding yourself.
