A Democratic congressman made a comparison on Friday between the balloon being flown over the U.S. by the Chinese communist regime, and the move by the Department of Homeland Security to fly blimps over over the Arizona border to monitor smuggling and trafficking along the southern border.
"People are outraged by a Chinese surveillance balloon, but when @DHSgov puts up a surveillance blimp in Arizona border communities without community consultation," Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., tweeted, followed by a silenced emoji and a "sssh" emoji.
He later edited the tweet to clarify that people are "rightfully" outraged.

I see his point. We have a free for all de facto immigration policy. Why not the same for our national airspace?

That guy is scary stupid.
If you watch monkey werx, he tracks several US stratospheric balloons. Two are known to be over the US now and there’s at least one over Europe. They are all up around 80,000’ MSL.
We have an obligation, not us a right, to monitor our own borders. Other nations don't have the right to send balloons here to gather information.
But, this all just a distraction. The balloon is a weather balloon and the Chinese use satellites for their real spying.
Only difference is our balloon is on side of the boarder, China’s is on our side. What a dumb a$$. Either you are Pro-American or you’re a Commie. Simple test to determine what side a leader is on.
This is just the democrat Chinese spies coming to China’s aid.

I guess there’s no difference between the US government using a balloon to monitor its borders compared to a foreign power sending balloons across other countries. The real question is how much was he paid and by whom?
