I got the impression that it was the attackers who were assessed for injuries.

I don't see the girl doing the punching in the video. Races involved are unclear because the girl's mother (?) appears to have brown skin in one video and some media are blurring the videos. One report says the girl has headaches now. Scary.

When I enlarged the video I saw a boy in the background attempt to stop the attack but was stopped by a kid in front of him.

This is what I was referring to: Authorities said that they assessed two children for injuries and then released them into the care of their parents.

If they are not talking about the attackers (2) but are talking about the victim (1) then they need to retake English.

Sex, size and numbers are important and those are clear.

Girl (females generally are smaller then guys), younger, (smaller and weaker in childhood) one being hit repeatedly by two.

Conclusion: not mutual combat.
