As a private citizen over the past year, Vindman watched the slow Russian buildup along Ukraines borders and, he said, became concerned about how Kyiv would support and sustain a long conflict. Vindman and his twin brother Yevgeny, also an Army officer, were born in Ukraine and immigrated to the U.S. as children.
Since the invasion last year, the Biden administration has approved hundreds of Bradley fighting vehicles, Strykers, Humvees, mobile howitzer systems and now Abrams tanks for shipment to Ukraine. But those machines must be taken from Ukraine to Poland or other NATO countries for major repairs, costing Ukrainian forces weeks as they wait for their armored vehicles to come back.
Weve got all sorts of resources going into depots and advanced bases in Poland, mainly, and inside Ukraine basically theyre on their own, Vindman said in an interview. Its something he hopes to change in the coming weeks if the money, the support and the workers can be lined up.

People forget the wisdom in the adage that “an army fights on its stomach”. The key to any successful outcome is logistics, logistics, logistics. No matter how good or motivated the soldiers may be, then almost always are defeated when they run out of food, fuel, ammunition and functioning weapons.
Vindman needs a transfer to the front line.
Why waste the rifle, just send him!
Bloated Twat. (Sorry, bloated colonel twat)
Such raw, unfiltered bs. The sockspuppetry, the trolling, the reactivated sleeper accounts, the Slav slopehead self-pwning auto-flaming apparatchik agitatsiya agitprop maskirovka avalanche of New Soviet-felching bullshit --- specifically designed by Putlims to denigrate and diminish JimRob and his mission statement of American Constitutional conservatism at FreeRepublic --- is like breathing to you goddamn Putlims.
Biden, all the Dems, Hollywood, MSM, Romney, Graham, Cheney, Schwab, Soros, Trudeau, Kissinger, Boris Johnson and many more.
I almost tossed my cookies when PBS used this jackass for an expert and advisor on a segment on Ukraine.
If that’s not a clear indication they are on the wrong side of this fight, nothing is.
He told a bold lie during the Trump impeachment, why hasn’t he been charged??
That kind of malicious posting behavior seems to be in vogue today, for some reason.
How much damage can one man do to the world?
“Hold my vodka comrade” - Vindman
.
Vindman, his wife, and sister in law are on the payroll of the Pedo Lincoln Project, seriously.
They are paying them.
AND THE MONEY QUOTE:
Vindman, for his part, said that while the repair project is a philanthropic effort at the moment, this may become a viable business with government support.
Don’t do it exclusively for your country you war pig. Do it for your bank account
It is an extraordinarily stupid war, and one in which the US should never have gotten involved — especially not the way it did in 2014.
“That kind of malicious posting behavior seems to be in vogue today, for some reason.”
You’ve got one hell of a nerve. You shamelessly use FR, daily, as a personal billboard. I don’t advocate censorship but I’d recommend your repetitive and offensive warmongering go on the back page somewhere.
The handful that enjoys that crap can go fishing for it. Same should go for the others that do this.
Name ‘em. ping ‘em.
“Vindman isn’t volunteering himself?”
Of course not. If he walked the walk, he’d be leading a battalion over there.
That’ll happen.
Right after the free skating period in hell.
You understand it's FR etiquette so might happen again.
Besides I just don't like you.
“Isn’t that how our involvement in Vietnam started? Send in a few military advisors...”
Yes. But I think he’s talking about civilian contractors, mechanics especially, who can work with Ukrainian mechanics and teach them the ins-and-outs of the systems, so that the units (tanks, etc.) can be repaired quickly without having to go through some teleconference with someone in Poland who walks them through the job.
We did the same thing with Britain in WWII. We sent Britain a bunch of US-made aircraft, and we sent along civilian contractors to show the Brits how to service them.
It’s actually pretty common.
As much as I despise Vindman, what he is proposing is not unusual.
