Self realization is a difficult pill to swallow. AuntB, I love my girls, both my wife and daughters, with a passion only known by God Himself. And because I love them and they know it, they are also secure in knowing that the need for violence as a tool for expression is unGodly and unnecessary. My wife is more than capable of both defusing emotional situations and dishing out appropriate response to threats when I am not there or otherwise incapacitated. My daughters are taught that they have more power with the word no and modesty in deed and dress (as are my boys, in a different manner). My wife and I insist on raising proper young ladies who are capable of avoiding situations and defending themselves when necessary, and not being current day girl power obsessed, self absorbed, vain, petulant TikTok stars who think their needs matter more than anyone else's.
AuntB, I love and support your sensibilities, but unfortunately the world has deemed them passe, and the reality is that our our daughters and wives face an ever harder path to retain any sense of the womanhood that natural law demands for survival of our species. Your struggle shouldn't be with men, but with a Godless society that encourages destruction of self as God meant it to be. As much as we tell you ladies you are, you're not always right.
