But of course they can't do that. The press would accuse the Republican responder of being political! The GOP response will be delivered by the typical GOPe type who prides themselves on saying as little as possible. It will be something along the lines of "We will work with the administration to fight inflation". Maybe they'll call for more oil drilling - but without mentioning how Biden has blocked pipelines and new drilling permits. They may throw in something about supporting Ukraine. Who selects the people that deliver the Republican responses anyway?

You could write a whole book on Biden's lies alone. His latest, actually told many times before, is saying that he had a key to the Amtrak train, and used to ride with the engineer in the locomotive. Nuts. Totally nuts. I guess he did that between his gigs driving the big rigs.

When dealing with a narcissistic personality, one has to realize that there will be an abuser, and one who is abused.
Just as in most relationships of that type, the abused will often choose to go back to the abuser out of fear — fear of the unknown, fear of change, fear of retaliation, fear of abandonment, etc.
That’s the American people right now. We’ve allowed the press to put all these fears (of Trump, etc.) into the zeitgeist, but don’t realize we’re being gaslight by the media, Biden, and most of our politicians.
As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal.
