Paul Anka has written many big hits.
I still remember one called
‘Havin’ My Baby! What A Lovely Way of Saying That You LOve Me!
Even back in the 70’s, tongues were wagging about that one.
Some folks said the title embarassed them to hear it on the radio.
“Delilah” is a theme song for me the “Harry and Meghan Theme” in fact I have a video of Harry watching Tom sing it at the Queen’s Jubilee in 2012

Ha!
Typical Bluegrass song.
What does that sentence mean in English?
I think he’d have to be a biologist... :)
Or at least a vagitarian...
Aside from the PC aspect, this played at intermission of a sporting event seems weird. Who is supposed to be inspired by it?
Is ‘Mac the Knife’ a half-time somg?
RE: She’s a Lady.
You mean the epitome of pre-women’s liberation, pre-Betty Friedan men’s glorification of a loved woman who was ladylike and deferred to a man? 😳
Perish the thought we would listen to it.
😂 It’s funny, but probably the next to go, for those reasons.
I’m surprised whole lotta Rosy hasn’t been banned.
I’m not sure. I’m just a parrot intellectually...
The sports fans for rugby in Wales liked it.
When I was a teenager the favorite seventh-inning stretch song at Baltimore Orioles games was “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” by John Denver.
My neighbor is British and a real sweetheart. I can tell when she has been drinking a bit, Tom Jones is cranked up to about 8 on the volume.
What’s New, Pussycat?
Loved that movie with it’s silly nonsense. Like the Casino Royale (1967 Woody Allen, Ursula Andress, David Niven) and The Magic Christian (Peter Sellers, Ringo Starr) of that era.
Oooo, I’m using that one.
I wish I could claim credit for it. I just don’t remember where I saw it first. One place I did see it was on a tshirt, kinda mocking vegetarians...
Forgive me Delilah I just can’t take anymore.
So many responses spring to mind.
And every single one would have me sitting in the naughty chair.
So I will just say well done and move on. :)
Favorite cover of the song is Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Army Choir.

Yes. That would be really fun to see on video.
LOL, have a little respect for my high school alma mater.
Thanks! That was fun!!
