A picturesque and once-peaceful university town, Freiburg – like many places in Germany – has been transformed by the arrival of Muslim migrants. More than a million of them were admitted to Germany in just one year – 2015 – which is when Angela Merkel flung her country wide open to migrants, who have overwhelmingly been Muslims. Diversity! Why should anyone have reason to worry?

Freiburg was one of my happy places. You wound me by saying its not the same. It has a wonderful church in the middle of the square. The steeple is a stone lace - quite unique. Every Saturday there was a market in the square. Locals would sell stuff that was great fun to buy and eat. Been there a few times. A lovely place, at least in my memories.

Our values are framed by Christianity, Reformation and, especially, the Enlightenment. Islam does not share these values, indeed, Islam is actively hostile to these values to the point that it rejects our fundamental values.

That is Islam rejects the Declaration of Independence upon which all Western nations predicate their legitimacy and Islam insists that its precepts should form the law of government. Islam rejects our claim to sovereignty and legitimacy.

So long as this is the case there is no hope of coexistence with Islam only an uneasy armistice in the battle for ultimate vindication.

Regrettably, the African-American Street in America is beginning to resemble the Arab street in its rejection of our system that emerged since 1776, instead insisting on a system that emerged since 1619.
