Parents don’t know everything, so check their phones.
Of course, it’s also possible that any relationship was a figment of a jealous and possessive mind.
If the officer did send a pic to his ex, it might have also been to terrorize and intimidate his ex. Some men are stupid that way.
I was thinking the same thing. If this turns out to be the real motivation, then he wasn’t resisting arrest, he ran because he knew who they were and what they were there for.
No it isn’t.
“If she’s his ex-wife then it is absolutely not his business what she does or who she sees.”
The great thing about the common law is that it takes human beings as they are.
To make it “absolutely” not his business, men would have to be robots. And they are not.
RE: common law
I never saw it by the soft core porn king Russ Meyer directed this movie:

I meant the ACTUAL Anglo-American common law.
Sexual jealousy was always a mitigating factor, not an aggravating one as it is now.
Okay. Still hard for me to grasp the distinction between mitigating and aggravating. Based on your past posts on other topics I will assume you are onto something I should agree with but that I can’t understand so far.
A lot of that going around lately for me.
Yes, it was speculated about early on due to the level of brutality, as it didn’t seem to fit the incident. If this guy had just shot 5 cops to death, I could understand that level of anger. But it doesn’t seem to be the case here.
I still can’t believe a whole platoon of cops didn’t know about the camera up on the pole, right over their heads, in their own city, who installed or approved of it. Amazing.
Btw, he may have been resisting at one point, but from the video I’ve seen, they were not concerned with securing and cuffing the suspect as they were with putting the hurt on him.
I agree with you…I think it was a targeted beat-down and he knew it because he knew who they were. Memphis had reduced its hiring standards, so some of these guys were maybe a half step up from thugs themselves, and he knew he had reason to be afraid and try to get away.
Mitigating would be to lessen the guilt; aggravating would be to compound the guilt.
How was that pole camera operated, by whom? I don't think it was motion activated. Government or private?
So, it was premeditated murder.
Has his tox screen been released yet?
Okay.
Right it was Shakespeare, I was thinking it was from Milton. I remember it from my College English Lit class. I just looked it up and here is the famous line from Milton:
“Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heaven.”.
Where in Shakespeare?
I thought outload a few days ago and wondered why they targeted this guy a beatdown. They went after him like he just killed all their mothers.
