Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake now has a criminal referral against her for tweeting photos of actual voter signatures.
Secretary of State Adrian Fontes — a Democrat — wrote in his referral, “The protections afforded by this subsection prohibit posting any information derived from voter registration forms or precinct registers to the internet, and under no circumstance may a person other than the voter or [a] statutorily authorized person reproduce a voter’s signature.”
Fontes referred Lake for the class 6 felony — the least severe category, typically with sentences between four months and two years if found guilty — for this tweet sent on January 23.
I’ve posted a screencap and blacked out the signatures to avoid going afoul of Arizona law. My wife and I are planning on visiting my friend and colleague Stephen Kruiser in Tucson, and we’d rather not have any trouble.
Before we get to the meat of the matter, a couple of observations.
Lake would also have been a much better governor than Hobbs, with views and policies much more in line with Arizona voters.
Lake is absolutely correct to pursue every legal avenue available for looking into what went on in Maricopa County on election day and after. It’s obvious to anyone with open eyes that things were not on the up and up. At the very, very least, there needs to be some kind of accounting for why Lake’s election opponent, now-governor Katie Hobbs, was not forced to recuse her responsibilities as Secretary of State, overseeing an election she was running in.
A good first step toward restoring faith in elections — and neither Left nor Right has much faith left — is disallowing contestants from also being arbiters.

"Kari Lake Is Too Reckless to Run for Office Again"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
If this were a better world, Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes should probably be removed from office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment (14A), for what is possibly open rebellion against the Constitution imo.
"14th Amendment, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same [emphases added], or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."
In fact, noting the catch-all "or in any way abridged" wording of Section 2 of 14A, Fuentes is arguably obstructing the due process of Section 2 imo, that section a penalty for states where ballot box fraud has occurred.
"14th Amendment, Section 2: Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State." [Apportionment of Representatives]"
(The fact that these sections are consecutively numbered gives us a clue imo.)
In fact, consider that the post-Civil War congressional Republicans who drafted Section 2 made it to discourage Southern Democrats (my words) from rigging the ballot boxes that Democrats, Fontes a Democrat, are now alleged to have done for 2020, 2022 and possibly earlier elections!
"Because slavery (except as punishment for crime) had been abolished by the Thirteenth Amendment, the freed slaves would henceforth be given full weight for purposes of apportionment. This situation was a concern to the Republican leadership of Congress, who worried that it would increase the political power of the former slave states, even as such states continued to deny freed slaves the right to vote." —Apportionment of Representatives
The corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties seem to be trying to effectively keep the Civil War alive in order to flip the outcome of that war in favor of Democrats having control of federal and state governments.
In fact, considering all the problems that US has had with activist justices that post-17th Amendment ratification Democrats and RINOs have put on the Supreme Court, note that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of 14A, had warned us about judges who might interpret civil rights laws too widely.
"During the subsequent legislative process, the following key provision was deleted: "there shall be no discrimination in civil rights or immunities among the inhabitants of any State or Territory of the United States on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." John Bingham was an influential supporter of this deletion, on the ground that courts might construe the term "civil rights" more broadly than people like Wilson intended [emphasis added]." —Civil Rights Act of 1866
The bottom line...
All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.
If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.
If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.
With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly self-disciplined, constitutionally limited power federal government.
In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.
Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying RINOs for 2024 elections.
don’t believe for one moment that Lake published those signatures with any malice, or that doing so is worth any jail time. Or even a prosecution, for that matter. But Lake’s state is effectively controlled by Democrats for the time being. What the hell was she thinking, setting herself up like that?
Good Lord, was Lake reckless. And not for the first time.
These signature comparisons came from a recent presentation to an AZ Senate committee. Screw cartel attorney Adrian Fontes, he screwed up the Maricopa 2018 and 2020 elections.
What do you mean by “probably”?
It used to be a Republican who runs for office and loses retires. Now, a Republican who runs for office and loses is indicted. Not a big believer in turning the other cheek. Democrats who lose an election should be made to walk the plank.
Too bad, I used to view PJMedia as credible.
Tucker is useful to conservatives, but he does have his career to consider. He will not jeopardize his career and report the Arizona election fraud.
The best we can hope for is that more and more homes will get streaming video and access to news that is not mainstream media propaganda.
Maricopa county also showed for everyone to see that it’s not just the deep-blue Democrat kleptocracies that are throwing elections. In Arizona, it was the remnants of the McCain machine that decided that it would be better to have a machine Democrat than an America First populist.
There’s a real question of whether there can ever be honest elections again with universal mail ballots, legal ballot harvesting, and ballot “curing”.
Lake needs to stay in the fight, by any means necessary.
You expect perfection of people. Tucker is an American hero with balls the size of watermelons.
What happens if she loses?? Now folks are going to wonder if any politician runs for office and loses is going to file lawsuits. Folks aren’t going to know who to trust anymore. Not saying that they shouldn’t if they feel there is legitimate issues. I worry that crying wolf too many times, and losing, will diminish people’s interest in securing our elections.
Getting election officials to do anything seems to be an uphill battle in many cases. Just what are we the voters supposed to do???
I thought PJ Media was on our side. Have they gone woke?
FYI, I was mocking the author of the article.
Despite Kari Lake being obviously cheated out of the election, he had the audacity to blame her for the results.
If that’s not victim shaming then I don’t know what is.
“You expect perfection of people.”
Nope, I actually expect most people to be cowards, just like Cucker.
Where did she get the signature on file? If she didn’t grab it directly, she’s not likely violated anything.
To get a conviction, don’t they need to have legitimate people and their signatures tied to the ballots in a court of law?
At this time, I’m standing directly behind her ideologically.
Arizona’s election process is undeniably corrupt.
More power to her.
Notice how anyone with a sharp mind is attacked these days.
Heck, it was FOX News who called the Presidential election in Arizona for Biden when it was still quite immature, knowing the script! Don’t expect any truth from that source. It’s all in the rear view mirror now.
Has Kari responded to this accusation?
