Greene (R-Ga.) also said she wanted the committee to review the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by a Capitol Police officer as she attempted to enter the Speaker’s Lobby through a broken window on that day.
“There’s a woman in this room whose daughter was murdered on January 6, Ashli Babbitt, and … there’s never been a trial,” Taylor Greene said, referring to Babbitt’s mother, Micki Witthoeft. “As a matter of fact, no one has cared about the person that shot and killed her. And no one in this Congress has really addressed that issue.”
“I believe that there are many people that came into the Capitol on January 6, whose civil rights and liberties are being violated heavily,” Taylor Greene said. “And this committee will — I hope, Mr. Chairman — look into those civil rights abuses, because they’re happening in a jail right here in this city.”
Witthoeft had been arrested on Jan. 6 of this year, the second anniversary of her daughter’s death, for refusing to obey an order and blocking and obstructing roadways during a protest near the Capitol. The charges were dropped by the DC attorney general’s office last week.

Tonight the NBC Nightly News interviewed someone who claims that the failure of law enforcement on Jan 6 allowed the capital riot to happen.
A member of the Jan 6 committee was reported to have said that the committee didn’t go into that because THEY WANTED TO KEEP THE FOCUS ON TRUMP.
What an admission! How dastardly of the committee! A totally useless and dishonest investigation.
Since Jan. 6 was an ANTIFA event, Babbit must have been ANTIFA.
That person said that was ultimately the focus as the committee closed down, had it continued it likely to have explored more deeply the law enforcement breakdown.
If such hearings were held the truth detector would go wild.
People who want to say law enforcement is always right and I don’t subscribe to that need to get behind law enforcement members that will hopefully come out to say how their work was politicized in connection with January 6th.
Those Capitol Police were either hung out to be overrun or manipulated to help create the trap for the Trump supporters that was obviously created.

Not sure she was ANTIFA, but it’s no secret that I believe that entire scene was staged including the hasty cremation.

I don’t know if you meant that post as sarcasm or not, but until we know more about who these prisoners (~1,000) are, I would be careful about assuming they’re all innocent. That doesn’t mean any of them deserve to be stuck in jail without a speedy trial, it just means that there could be a large contingent that are Antifa, which could explain why no one has made any effort to actually investigate each one of them.

Did any of the J6 accused request release of the capital videos when they went to trial? Were they denied access to those videos?
