This would green-light China to make a few acquisitions and I suspect that unlike Russia they have the means and methods. (But untested)

Russian media is like our media liberal and they do question Putin who they view as a Neanderthal nationalist but there are limits you certainly would not make fun of him publicly but you can question him no doubt about that and like I said when they push too hard he stares at them and laugh and I think that’s probably a warning

They are polite but they ask concise questions that sometimes beg difficult answers

Like anything else in this conflict you have to take it with a grain of salt
You certainly do get a good picture of Putin’s reasons for going to war some of which I’m sympathetic to like the repression of Russian ethics in the Donbass from maiden onwards somethings that many of those forum are either ignorant about or choose to ignore
Does Putin have imperial designs yes I think he does to a degree but not to the degree that our media and politicians promote for their own ends
Personally, Putin may have imperial designs but they won’t be accomplished by force, he’s not going to invade Poland or the Baltic States, they are in NATO and he knows that would mean war with the US and the NATO countries, who combined are superior to the Russian military unless he uses Nukes.
Whatever side you are on with respect to the war in Ukraine, sooner or later the war will be over and the propaganda will be worthless, one side will have a ton of explaining to do, who that is will be up for debate.
