Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday announced the state’s first-ever Border Czar to address the influx of migrants coming through the Southern Border.
Abbott tapped veteran Border Patrol agent Mike Banks to serve as Special Advisor on Border Matters to the Governor in response to the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis.
“For nearly two years, the State of Texas has taken unprecedented, historic action under Operation Lone Star in response to the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border,” Abbott said at a press conference on a border wall construction site in San Benito, Texas. “To continue doing what no other state in the history of our country has done to secure the border, I hired Mike Banks as the State of Texas’ first-ever Border Czar.” […]
The new Texas Border Czar will collaborate daily with DPS, TMD and other state agencies, local officials, and Texas landowners to deter and prevent migrants from entering Texas illegally through the Southern Border. Abbot needs to up the exports to sanctuary cities by a huge multiple. How ever many are coming across the border 40% should goto NYC, 40% to NYC and then he needs to start flooding small woke cities with the rest, on a rotational basis until they are all screaming ‘uncle’ - and then he should do some more.
Yes, the matter needs investigation and another government bureacracy. That’ll stop it.
Abbott is just another WEF stooge. What has he done for the state of Texas, or America for that matter, with regards to illegal immigration? NOTHING, N A D A. He’s all talk and no action. He’s one of the worst Republican governors.
My suggestion. The Texas Rangers were established in large measure to put an end to incursions from Mexico
The governor should call up the Texas National Guard, deputize them all as Texas Rangers and then deploy them all along the Rio Grande to arrest and imprison all illegals who cross before they can be apprehended by the Border Patrol.
Can we stop using the term “czar” already? Or maybe we should use it, since Russia these days is more American than the U.S.
Abbott needs to send him out to whip Mayorkas’s freeloading Hispanic dictator ass.
Emergency powers are just words unless there are armed trained bodies to carry them out. Even if there are such bodies, there are other influences that impede them from carrying out a mission.
Abbott ordered activation of the National Guard but it didn’t go well. That’s not Abbott’s fault.
It’s easy to bash Abbott. It’s not so easy to get in the weeds and see what he’s up against.
Abbott has been busy getting funding to resurrect the Texas Guard. After activating last year the National Guard, Biden wouldn’t fund it even as it’s the responsibility and duty of the federal government to secure and protect the borders. The activation had to be funded by the state legislature but there’s federal blocks in that process.

Abbott has limited powers over the National Guard. This is why he’s pushed for bringing back the “Texas Guard” which will be more permanent and responsive to the Governor.
Bottom line is Abbott is one of the best Governors in the US trying his best but meeting resistance like no other.
Understand the Cartels presently control both sides of the border and like the Mobsters they are, they control certain legislators, officials, even a County Sheriff. These are the forces Abbott is up against.

How about making a “Department of Border Defense”, or “Texas Border Enforcement”, and having a chairman or secretary, or whatever - but not a freakin’ CZAR. That crap started with Obama.
And biometrically inventory them (DNA fingerprint, retina scans, etc.) The Federal government should be doing this - but they’re not - and it is necessary.
I had no idea someone used “Czar” as a “title” prior to Obozo. I rescind my complaint of his use, and expand that to everyone on that wiki list.
