Former President Donald Trump made waves shortly after midnight Monday by criticizing the Club for Growth, deeming it a “globalist group” and asserting that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and his donors are also globalists.
“The Club For No Growth is a GLOBALIST group that I have been taking to the cleaners for years,” Trump wrote in a TruthSocial update, explaining that he worked with the group for a period of time but adding it “couldn’t get away from China, Europe, Asia, and part’s unknown.”
“They know I won’t play that game, I am America First all the way. That’s the ONLY way we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump continued before reviving the nickname he coined for Gov. DeSantis in November 2022.

You have said as much before. It was duplicitous, inaccurate & illogical then & now. Look at the trash you are trying to spread about Trump being at the same XMas party as Soros in 2009 as though it was relevant. Maybe you should have read Trump’s speech to the WIF. Rather than being in alignment with their goals he was throwing down the gauntlet of America first.
Trump took DeSantis over the finish line in DeSantis’ election. At that time DeSantis had not visibly embraced the Globalist wing of the Republican party.
I am not going to repost all the material I reposted today delineating whose money DeSantis has accepted, what that group and individuals in that donating group espouse & what their aim in contributing entails.
You claims against Trump for Globalism are ridiculous. America First, Bring Jobs Home, Buy American, tariffs...does that sound like a Globalist to you. Horse puckey.
Trump did the things he promised and America had a sea change in opportunities for Americans, a strong American defense, the elimination of red tape and a transition from Federal to local oversight. Your tired rhetoric ignores the reality of Americans. You have already been checked on your claims that Trump accepted money for influence from Pfizer & others. I won’t bother posting the donors for the Trump campaign again. You obviously ignore the comparison of DeSantis & Trump donors because it destroys the lies you are telling.
DeSantis Beats Trump on Fundraising – However, Donor Financials Highlight Corporate Version vs Grassroots Version of The Republican Party August 25, 2022
“A solid dive by Law.Com and Daily Business Review into the background of who is financing Donald Trump versus who is financing Ron DeSantis should help to clarify the nature of the difference between them.
President Trump is funded primarily from massive amounts of small contributions from small donors, the MAGA base.
Governor Ron DeSantis is funded primarily by a small group of exclusive Wall Street corporations, billionaires and hedge fund managers, and almost no small donors.
Essentially, if you are thinking about MAGA populism -vs- corporate republicanism; well, there’s the issue in easiest to understand data form.
Additionally, the new managers of DeSantis have recently noticed the vulnerability and hired firms to try and stimulate small donor amounts in an effort to avoid the jaw dropping difference in average donation. A strategy deployed by Jeb Bush in 2015. Pay attention to the names giving large donations to DeSantis and you will see: (a) where the economic policy distinction comes from; and (b) where the RDS branding and consulting image is coming from.”
Trust a **** to see ****s everywhere he looks. The world is just a mirror to such a person.
“That’s ridiculous.”
Really? The fact that Desantis’ financial benefactors are the same people that funded Yeb!, Never-Trumper Globalists doesn’t mean a thing to you? And, the fact that this fact will be Desantis’ demise is Ridiculous to you? Really?
“Like I said, pound sand. Your opinion matters not to me. Buzz off.”
Really? The fact that Desantis’ financial benefactors are the same people that funded Yeb!, Never-Trumper Globalists doesn’t mean a thing to you? Really?
desantis puts florida and its citizens first...
those aren’t the actions of a globalist...
worry about your governor and your state...
There has been plenty around here showing Trump’s a Globalist, now Trump and his faithful are trying to refocus that at DeSantis. It’s a low level, very obvious tactic and it’s a lose/lose scenario.
Tom Wolf and Shapiro are my past and present governors in PA. We’ve been through Pandemic Hell with them. They are globalists, not DeSantis. What state do you live in?
And McConnell. And Ryan. Etc etc etc. Lindsay Graham fully supports trump. This approach won’t work for Trump. And he’s still pushing his great work on the vaccine...err Gene therapy.
Many conservative organizations opposed Trump in 2016 because he had no record of being a conservative and many past actions and comments showed him to be anything but.
Club For Growth would change their tune:
Club for Growth takes aim at impeachment backers Cheney, Anthony Gonzalez
But it has since refashioned itself as a pro-Trump organization, aggressively backing his reelection and targeting his Republican critics, such as Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah. McIntosh has spoken with Trump several times since he left the White House about the organization’s plans to get involved in the 2022 midterm elections."
“But it has since refashioned itself as a pro-Trump organization,”

Update...
Guess which type of voting machines are still in use in FL...
Gov DeSantis, why is that, hmmmm?
This is primary season politics. Trump World has been courting the nutjob political fringe figuring their support combined with the votes of the Only Trumpers is enough to beat a mainline conservative like DeSantis. Trump’s 2016 coalition is gone forever. He can’t go home again from here.
POTUS Joe Biden D Oppose $10,644,937.43
You do realize what the word "Oppose" means, don't you?

Of course, yet they should’ve supported Trump that much, if indeed they had re-aligned. But, they have not.
Opposing Biden, is pretty much meaningless support for Trump. They’re not putting their money where the mouth of your post is, apparently.
They've distanced themselves from Trump after his lousy picks in 2022, particularly over liberal candidates like Dr. Oz. CFG preferred the conservative candidate, Kathy Barnette because CFG is a conservative organization, not a Trump organization.
Your opinion doesn't matter to me, bye now.
LOL, well which is it then?
“They’ve distanced themselves from Trump after his lousy picks in 2022”
or
“But it has since refashioned itself as a pro-Trump organization, aggressively backing his reelection”
That quote was from 2020. They're not backing him now, as of yet. And why should they? Other than 2016, Trump has not shown an ability to win elections or get his handpicked candidates elected.
“What state do you live in?” Florida. My entire family not only voted for Desantis but we actively supported his campaign. But, we did not do so blindly. The alternative was a Marxist Mayor of Tallahassee. It was a no-brainer.
That being said, the fact remains Desantis’ financial benefactors are Yeb! Globalist, anti-MAGA. FEC data makes this abundantly clear.
“Your opinion doesn’t matter to me, bye now.”
You’re mistaken. I voiced no personal opinion. I stated easily verifiable facts. Facts don’t matter to you? If this is the case you’re on the wrong site. May I suggest DU?
