The plan seems pretty clear.

Weaken military.

China takes Taiwan.

Big Guy gets paid.

Prior to December 7, 1941 most Americans were against any involvement in the war in Europe and didn’t know Japan was even a threat.

On December 8, 1941, most Americans had done a 180-degree change and now wanted to fight because we were legitimately attacked.

I equate this to WWI. Government and financial interests were most definitely on the side of the British/French, who supplied them the means to wage war. Americans were definitely against entering a European war - a war which would likely have ended in stalemate and negotiation. The filthy progressive Wilson had to lie Americans into war.

And all it did was set the conditions for WWII.

These threads are NO FUN without the Neocon Supporters calling for WORLD WAR 3 with Russia.

Why are they so quiet now?

Because no one believes any of their propaganda now.

Perhaps they feel they’ve accomplished that goal?

No, they know they haven't accomplished that goal, it was never theirs to accomplish.

There WILL be another war.

Historically, So far, every empire that has risen on Earth, has fallen, most in a war of collapse.

Some empires have collapsed more than once.

The only exception is the American Empire.

The damage to citizens and population during collapse has never been a dampening factor.

Additionally, it appears that during these wars of collapse, at least one side uses every weapon available to it, example: the Japanese Empire.

The NeoCons just think they run the show.

I saw the usual suspects on an earlier thread and they were one and all foaming at the mouth. They're probably tired.

“I saw the usual suspects on an earlier thread and they were one and all foaming at the mouth. They’re probably tired.”

Hard to understand why they should be so angry - they DESPERATELY wanted a war with Russia, and now they’re getting it. But perhaps they thought they could win...but have now seen the Russian Hypersonics in action?

The same people who led us into wars in Iraq and Afghanistan spending trillions in the process are now pushing for war with Russia over Ukraine. You wonder how long this will go on before these politicians face real repercussions.

If this is allowed to proceed, people rising up to protest and demand an end to any war in Europe should unite people from all political interests to march on Washington.

Pssst. It’s a proxy war. I just can’t say it because Congress never declared war. So we’re at war, but we’re NOT at war.

Reasons for US involvement in Ukraine/Russia squabble?
I think CHINA must want this a LOT. Just seems like China is winning in too many ways.
If China can get Russia and USA to fight (to the last Ukrainian) what is the downside for China?
The other mover seems to be NATO. What would explain NATO’s motivation to continually expand ever closer to Russia, even when they had previously said they would not?
And behind the scenes God keeps working out His purposes, while evil men think they are pursuing their own purposes.
It is hard to explain and/or understand.

100%. We push Ukraine to be our proxy to kill itself fighting Russia. Meanwhile, China sits aside while both Russia and the West expend their military and financial resources on an exhaustive war with Russia.

Its a game within a game - and stupid neocons are getting played, badly.
