Last week, the US sought from North Korea the return of the navy ship USS Pueblo which they seized on January 23, 1968. The House passed a resolution to get the vessel back after 55 years.
The US has maintained its position in the matter, terming the decision to seize the ship and its crew illegal as per international law, highlighting the vessel is the property of the US, and they want it to be returned.
Meanwhile, in a report published by Rodong Sinmun, North Korea’s official newspaper, the country has vowed to wipe out the US land, not just an airfield or port, if the USS Pueblo enters the country’s water again.

Enlisted in 71.
Never saw much of the guy, he always shuffling semi-hunched over when out and about.
It was removed from any navigable waters. The Norks cut it up in sections, transported it overland, and put it back together in a pond at their national museum. Couldn’t get to it even if we wanted to now.
This will be a short discussion.
US: Give us back our ship!
North Korea: NO!! Go F yourself!!
“So I wondered what exactly we would do if we are “demanding” return of the ship, per the headline.”
We are not demanding. Click-bait headline.
I guess it’s just a way of reminding the lapdog of Russia and China that it’s a dishonorable bandito.
Sure, kick up trouble with Russia, China, North Korea… at the same time.
Jeez, you could film “The Sand Pebbles II” on that thing.
Picture yourself serving on that vessel and the higher-ups letting you hang out and dry. No backup. Local commanders too timid to act without the ok from the Washington.
This crap happens all the time.
Don’t forget the big war games they just had with Israel and at Iran
More small D energy from the Biden regime.
My dad was also the base Security Officer and Communications officer too. He was absent for significant periods of time during that crisis.
I think this was where he was:
I had not heard that. It doesn’t look landlocked, it looks like they towed it up a river. They might have poured concrete around it for all I know, though, much as the Japanese did with the Mikasa just outside the fence at Yokosuka.
Barring a return of Trump, I don’t think this will end in peace.
I’ve alerted my sons to start thinking now - before a draft - about what compelling interest they have in dying for Ukraine or Taiwan and make appropriate plans. I will support them either way.
Had a Chief Instructor at Class A School that was asked by a friend to swap duty to be on the Pueblo. He wanted the sea duty. They switched.
My Chief Instructor went to teach at Class A School and his buddy went to North Korea.
True story. I’d tell you more, but then I’d have to kill you.
Dad was on a troop transport called the Jackson and a minesweeper called the Strive during Korea. The sweeper had large “scissors” that cut the chains and allowed the mines to surface well away from the ship. Some lucky sailor got to shoot at the mine until it sank or exploded.
No I’m pretty sure this isn’t gonna end in peace and fact it looks like Biden and his left wing friends are setting out to provoke a number of countries
The Deep State is making the classic Adolph blunder—fight wars on multiple fronts and watch what happens next...
Yeah I honestly believe they think that they can control Both the wars themselves and end them when they need to
