Trump has never been a social or fiscal conservative.
He was for abortion before he was against it. He did not veto any big spending bills. Federal spending and national debt shot up significantly during his 4 years.

He was agnostic on abortion, not “for abortion”. Then he had an epiphany, a realization of the intrinsic value of a child. There was no waffling like a windsock or pandering to a constituency.
