Romanucci also spoke of the Scorpion Unit and said, "Make no mistake, Tyre Nichols was an innocent victim on that night. He did nothing wrong. He was caught up in a sting.""

1. First I've heard the allegation Nichol's was "caught up in a sting." Is this related to why he was initially pulled over for reckless driving? What happened prior to being pulled over?
2. His lawyer says, "He did nothing wrong." 100% lie right there. At a minimum, he resisted arrest. Of course, that doesn't justify what followed, but saying he did nothing wrong is demonstrably inaccurate.
I can't imagine resisting arrest. It's a loose/loose proposition.
If your morals dictact it or if your inclined to fight the police, the place to do that is in court...not on the street. Not saying in court everyone wins, naturally, but everyone loses if you brawl with the police outside a courtroom.
The black Memphis police chief was fired from Atlanta PD in 2008 for interfering in a police investigation

She was fired from the Atlanta police department in 2008 for her alleged involvement in a sex crimes investigation into the husband of an Atlanta police sergeant, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Two detectives accused Davis of telling them not to investigate Terrill Marion Crane, who was married to sergeant Tonya Crane after the police department obtained photos of him with underage girls.
A federal grand jury later indicted Terrill Crane on child pornography. He pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography in 2009, the newspaper reported.
The indictment was issued after Atlanta police took no action in the case and a subsequent investigation by the city pointed to Davis as the reason. Davis was demoted from major to lieutenant before being fired from the force that she had joined in 2008.
This keeps getting worse. Heads should roll.
I don’t particularly find that unusual, the beating and the death of this poor guy occurred in the city of Memphis by the Memphis police Department personnel, not the sheriffs department personnel so now he’s finally seeing the video for the first time like a lot of other people are, and he notices it. Two of his officers seem to be celebrating the fact this poor guy got beat to death, so sure he will open an investigation
