A four-star US Air Force general has warned of a conflict with China as early as 2025--most likely over Taiwan--and urged his commanders to push their units to achieve maximum operational battle readiness this year.
In an internal memorandum that first emerged on social media on Friday, and was later confirmed as genuine by the Pentagon, the head of the Air Force Mobility Command, General Mike Minihan, said the main goal should be to deter "and if required, defeat" China.
"I hope I am wrong. My gut tells me we will fight in 2025," Minihan said.
Laying out his reasoning, Minihan said Taiwan's presidential elections next year would offer Chinese President Xi Jinping an excuse for military aggression, while the United States would be distracted by its own contest for thw White House.
"Xi's team, reason and opportunity are all aligned for 2025," he added.
The memorandum also calls on all Mobile Command personnel to go to the firing range, "fire a clip" into a target and "aim for the head"....

From China’s state owned publications over the past 11 months, the PLA is obviously keeping an eye out for political fear of war in western-allied countries. They’re watching Internet chatter about Ukraine closely.
That’s what bullies—both bully individuals and nations—do. They watch for signs of fear in the rabble before attacking. If they’re ready to attack and see enough fear (that is, speech from Jane Fonda and Tucker Carlson types in the general population), they’ll attack.
They see our system of government and speech freedoms as weaknesses to exploit. Propaganda and abuse of diplomacy are some of their favorite weapons. In social media, most of them pretend to be us. They try to manipulate us into going all peacenik on our politicians to disarm our military forces and turn them into mush.
They know that some of us are afraid of nukes more than anything else. As long as we’re afraid, they won’t be afraid. They’ll continue to build up their nuclear weapons forces until they’re ready to use them. And as you’ve seen with their human wave attacks in warfare, they don’t care about general populations.
They only think about their own dreams of grandeur (pride, expansionism, conquering, pillaging, rape, perceptions of genetic superiority, etc.).

The policy of the Neoconservative Deep State folks who run the Defense and Security apparatus of the USA is simple when it comes to China not to mention Russia.

Ukraine and Taiwan are issues among others that are used to do that to those two nations.
I can handle Israel doing that to Iran like they have done successfully in the last two decades.
Iran a real dirty enemy.
But these games with Russia and China they are deliberate to get Russia and China to look like the bad guys.

Well... won’t happen until after the US empties its stockpiles for Ukraine... then China will happen... as we will have done China’s dirty work of crushing Russia.

The chip manufacturing essentials are in the heads of the engineers and management of TSMC.
Loss of manufacturing facilities is always temporary, if the people survive.
Taiwan is provoking China? How? By existing?
From where I sit the opposite is true.
Those factories cost literally hundreds of billions of dollars to build and implement over many years. And many have a zero tolerance for even microscopic dust. There won’t be a war that jeopardizes them, in my opinion.
I doubt its hundreds of billions unless you are talking of cumulative multiple layers of change and upgrades over the decades. Things that were built in, say, 2006 and replaced in 2016.
A new set of “greenfield” facilities are another matter.
China need only wait—the opposition party in Taiwan wants re-unifications. A few million in Bribes, some slick ads on TV—The Taiwan Government will join China by choice-—with promises of freedoms (like Hong Kong had).
No Communist has a real friend.
Does germ warfare count? If so China has been at war with us since 2019. Since the Democrats were in on the plot that means they fit the definition of Treason.
It was reported Milley called the Chinees Military Generals and kept them informed of what the USA Military was planning.
The Demonrats get most of their ideas from communists, and vice-versa. Because Taiwan's and China's economies are so integrated, 40% of Taiwan's mostly socialist voters are already willing to merge with communist China. China could get that to 51% with a little Demonrat-style immigration/voter replacement. And the immigrants wouldn't even need to assimilate a new language.
