America's deeply divided Republican Party voted Friday to keep its Donald Trump-backed national committee chair in place, in an election seen as a test of the former president's sway.

The GOP has been in disarray since a predicted "red wave" failed to materialize in November elections, with the party eking out only a slim majority in the House, and failing to wrest control of the Senate from the Democrats.

No, he didn’t. He put her there and kept her there because of her personal loyalty to him.

Do you mean that as a criticism of the RNC or a defense of the RNC? If you mean it as a defense you’re insane.

Dhillon is obviously bright, principled and energetic. But if the job is mainly about fundraising from fatcats, does she have the connections and personality?
I’ll bet a lot of delegat s wondered about that, and decided to stick with the incumbent who has established ties to the big donors.

Head of the RNC, it seems to me, is like a development officer (head fundraiser) for a hospital, museum or other community nonprofit. Those jobs are usually held by smiling glad-handlers, not intense, intimidating lawyer-litigator types. So Harmeet Dhillon may have been handicapped by the fact she’s a killer attorney. People want that when need legal counsel. When they have to go to court, but it can scare some folks in a social setting.

Like you trusted Wray, Barr, Christie or what about Sessions and Milley. The list of bad choices is long under Trump.

Trump was a no player in this

You just have trouble saying DeSantis (whom I like) had no influence

> “Why are people opposed to McDaniel?”

Same reason they were opposed to Bush, Cheney, Romney, Ryan .....

Listening to McDaniel is nauseating. She’s a Me! Me! ME! who will pay consultant’s mucho cashola when they agree with her Me-Me-ness. Of course, the cash is coming from those who are circulating it from others through her Me-ness back to themselves.

She has poor leadership skills, but she keeps the grift going.

Her track record is dismal.

I don’t think she has the IQ to know how to break out of it. By contrast, Harmeet has the smarts in spades, but Harmeet doesn’t have the grift club membership.

Is Ronna a good person? She probably is, I think it’s highly probable she is. She’s just not the right General to face the Antufa Left. She’s apparently learned how to pay off grifters, but that’s about it.

President Trump is and has always been a practical person who knows that ‘perfect’ people do not exist.

All President Trump wants is for people to get to work to stop the Democrat cheating followed by making America great again.

President Trump’s Chief Spokesperson Liz Harrington said it perfectly regarding Ronna McDaniel that we hope, like McCarthy, the RNC Chair will follow through with the message of the grass roots.

Some of the RNC “187” were hostile to Charlie Kirk and others at the RNC Chair election saying the grass roots were WRONG! That “they” were right, that Americans listened to the wrong people like Bannon, Kirk, Wayne Allen Root, others.

The Grift controls ..... sickening.

When you see the Paul Ryan Republicans strutting around thinking they own the place, it’s sad, very sad. Ronna is their girl.

President Trump not only has to put up with criminal Democrats, but also corrupt Republicans. As head of the GOP, he has to stomach some real sickos. Ronna doesn’t help, but what can he do?

Personally, I mix with Independents that fund true conservatives, don’t care about party affiliation.

Why are people opposed to McDaniel? Trump was fine with her and he is in the best position to know

Could the same be said for Christopher Wray, Barr, Pence, Bolton, Milley etc?

This reminds us that all politics is local. Don’t send a dime to the RNC - it will get its money from quislings. Send money to local candidates you help select by joining local Republican club and taking it over.

At least we now know for sure where the RNC stands and it’s not with us.

Trump didn’t endorse anybody in this race. Unfortunately, the RINOs have managed to foist Ronna Romney on us once again when an OVERWHELMING majority of Republicans want her out.

If they polled right leaning Independents who typically vote Republican, the percentage would be even greater than overwhelming who want to see her gone.

“ Trump didn’t endorse anybody in this race”

He said he was ok with either McDaniel or Dhillon. So that means he endorsed both of them, doesn’t it? He’s worked with both of them, so he knows more about them than you or me, so I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. If McDaniel was a bad choice, Trump would have said so - he’d have most to lose, after all, because he is seeking election in 2024 and needs a strong party apparatus.

So what do you think of the alleged fact that the head of the RNC is not there to get Republicans elected? I would say that’s very bizarre if true.

President Trump did not endorse anyone for RNC Chair. He was fine with each running. He just wants the RNC to get to work to stop the Democrat cheating.

Ronna ain't gonna do it.

Well, here’s what we DO know. DeSantis said NO to her and said it publicly.

I have to admit, you make a very good point!
