Several questions do remain.
1. Why no capital police, even a single officer, near the home of the speaker of the house to watch the property? While she wasn't there at that time, can they be sure of the security of the house when she returns? Also, if no federal law enforcement is watching the house, does that leave it wide open to espionage (ex. Chinese spies planting listening devices)?
2. Why no loud alarm system? Even an aftermarket system like Ring offers glass break detection capabilities. A wealthy, high ranking politician in a big home like that has no such alarm capabilities? They likely have professionally monitored alarm service. Was it never activated or turned on?
3. Why, after all the time that has gone by, and all the alleged commotion, is Paul Pelosi holding a drink in his hand...while he's also holding/being held the perp and a hammer in the other hand? This seemingly small thing, is the most bizarre of all.
Perhaps the answers will be revealed during the trial. Perhaps.

I’ve watched this start a few times and I can’t make out how the door swings open so quickly.
If Paul did, he did it while also holding the hammer in one hand and a drink in another..

It looked like the young guy was controlling the 82-year-old Pelosi with one hand and holding the weapon in the other, when he saw the cop arrival was ending whatever he had planned, he had to act and did.
