Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected the prospect of peace talks with Vladimir Putin while dismissing his Russian counterpart Thursday as a “nobody.”
Zelensky used an interview with Britain’s Sky News to declare Putin “doesn’t want negotiations because he doesn’t want peace.”
The Ukrainian leader said he was “convinced” Ukraine was “just the first step” for Putin, who has his eye on “other countries” as he seeks Eastern European domination.

I am more and more convinced that an assessment and decision has been made that Russia is a paper tiger as to equipment and tactics and that they need to be bled bone dry here. I think a calculated decision has been made that either RU’s nuclear threat is not all that it is made out to be or.. if it is somewhat that the ambitions and uncertainty of Putin needs to be eliminated even at risk of them damaging us and NATO countries with some nuke attacks. I take our leaders at their word when they say we are in it to the end for whatever Ukraine needs to defeat Putin’s Russia.
Thus the M1-Abrams, the big push for the Leopard German tanks and the eventual F-16 jets and AATACAM’s (sp.)

The Kremlin on Friday said that peace talks with the West could only happen if they recognize Moscow's authority over Ukrainian territories it illegally annexed, even as Russian forces are being pushed out of these regions by Ukraine's military.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the US government's refusal to acknowledge "the new territories" as part of Russia "significantly complicates the search for mutual ground for discussions," Reuters reported.
