PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Senate on Thursday suspended a Republican state senator in a rare move that stripped the lawmaker of all legislative power while keeping the allegations against her a secret.
Sen. Julie Frye-Mueller, who is among a group of right-wing Statehouse Republicans, told reporters earlier Thursday that she was being punished following an exchange she had with a legislative aide about vaccinations.
Sen. Michael Rohl, the Republican lawmaker who initiated the motion to suspend Frye-Mueller, said in a statement that it was based on “serious allegations” and had been made to ensure the Legislature was creating a safe work environment for employees.
The Republican-controlled Senate voted 27-6 to form a committee to investigate Frye-Mueller’s conduct and in the meantime suspend her from voting or holding other rights of an elected official. Republican legislative leaders refused to comment Thursday on the allegations that led to them suspending the Senate rules and stripping their colleague of her ability to represent her constituents....

The only reason political parties are allowed to exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
Looks like too many of SD’s pols are Deep State.

Good observation.
From the standpoint of a lot of good women, this mRNA so called “vaccine” is a huge issue.
The most dangerous place in the world is between a woman and her child. I once, after 9/11, saw a painting behind the checkin counter in a motel in Sierra Vista, AZ that was of the Statue of Liberty craddling a child in one arm and in her hand on the other side was a rather large smoking pistol.
That instinct is strong in nature. When I was young, I hunted for deer with my dad and brother and some friends in South Texas. As I was walking down a trail and came upon a Javelina sow, she charged me and my father warned me. She came directly at me and was closing. Dad was shouting at me to shoot her. At 10-12 ft. I did. We found out later that she had some young pigs nearby.
The Covid lies have brought some strange collections of people together. Left and right, but the issue is not political. The issue is humanity. Even some of the left, get it now.
Thanks for posting that
I’m 25+ years past having to deal with anyone’s childhood vaxes. I was amazed at that list! I doubt we did 1/4 of that.
I was a lobbyist to the South Dakota Legislature for several sessions and this is a strange occurrence. The South Dakota Legislature was in my day a very collegial group even between parties and such polarization was unheard of. However, the recent concern by some conservative legislators and outside groups over Gov. Noem and executive agencies introducing bills to the Legislature is unfounded and there are decades of precedence for this practice. I saw many bills introduced where it clearly stated that the bill was introduced on behalf of the Governor with sponsors signing on to formalize the introduction into the Legislative calendar. This was a common occurrence so I was dismayed that a few outside groups were getting their knickers in a wad over this practice.
Thereby violating the rightof representation for every voter in her district.
