Russia lost a lot of its gains in the fall and has been stalemated since. Compliments of the ukrainian army without heavy weapons. This should give the west more confidence in sending more and heavier weaponry since it has shown the ability and will to fight.
Why would the west aid a lost cause? It obviously isnt given the facts on the ground.
