All I hear about is affordable housing and equity crapola. What gives? Where is all the communist block housing??

unhoused young adults Just think of the $billions and thousands of bureaucrats whose entire job is to manufacture statistics about this new progressive-woke metric - and ensure that it continues to grow.

Not where I live. Most of the homeless are white. And what does "at risk" for homelessness mean? It is NOT the color of their skin that makes them "at risk," but other factors - drug abuse, mental illness, broken families, and refusal to work.

“Unhoused...”?
Is that the new Delusional Leftist term for “homeless”?

“unhoused” is a new buzz word for California.
We started seeing and hearing “unhoused” after New Years.

Not many excuses for being a homeless young adult in San Jose. The area is awash in job opportunities, many of which pay very well. A problem may be drug addiction, criminal behavior, unkempt grooming, or serious laziness. Even illegal aliens who can’t speak English are able to get jobs and find housing.

Has anyone ever seen a large number of “unhoused”
Asians on the street?

But while anyone can experience homelessness, there are certain populations that are more at risk—like Black and Latino youth.
Here in Phoenix, most of the folks at highway exits and busy intersections with "HOMELESS" signs are anglo-whites.
I think a lot of the Hispanic homeless find temporary places with extended families which is not quite the same thing.

But while anyone can experience homelessness, there are certain populations that are more at risk—like Black and Latino youth. Wrong.
The populations most at risk are DRUG ADDICTS AND ALCOHOLICS.

how many of these so called unhoused idjits were thrown out of mom and’s bazement, after reaching the age of 18?
THE LAW that was handed to me, before my 18th birthday was:
1.you ars in the military.
2. you are away at college, in their dorm.
3. you are here, working, and paying us rent.
4. if none of the above, i have bought you a suitcaze, to fill with your clothes, to be on the stoop of the house, your birthday evening, with the locks changed on the door, and no key for you.
good luck.

100%
When wife and I were young we loved going to the city. Most homeless are white, middle aged and alcoholics or drug addicts.

Does not appear to be a shortage of homes in San Jose.
But I guess that lots of folks are attracted by the climate
and the 'FABULOUS' cost of living...
To: GaltAdonis
Ugh, I used to live in the upper left corner of that photo in the early 70’s before the Guadalupe Fwy was built and there was still farmland. I’ve been back since and what a really expensive craphole it is now!
To: Grampa Dave
“unhoused” is a new buzz word for California. "Unhorsed" means to be thrown off a horse. Does "unhoused" mean to be thrown out of a house? Are "homeless" people (no home) the same as "unhoused" (lost a former home) people? By that logic I'm an "unbillionaire."

Yup.
Where I grew up in rural southern New Jersey is now an expensive craphole as well.
In the early 70’s it was peach orchards, corn and tomato fields and trees - the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
No longer.

The rest of the "NOW" photos aren't worth posting.
But you get the general idea.
