Ukraine's allies are finally sending the advanced tanks it asked for. Now they want it to embrace a rapid, aggressive style of warfare.

Ukraine's allies have finally agreed to send it advanced tanks, after months of indecision, but now want Ukraine to start fighting differently.

Western officials are suggesting that it adopt a new style of warfare and new tactics that reflect the high-level weaponry it's been given, CNN reported.

This would involve moving away from battles of attrition towards launching rapid attacks against Russian forces.

Three US officials — deputy national security adviser Jon Finer, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, and Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl — met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week, where they reportedly suggested the change in tactic.

The group said Ukraine should move towards a style of mechanized maneuver warfare that "uses rapid, unanticipated movements against Russia," sources told CNN.

A Aussie former soldier who interviews those on the front line.
This one is particularly scary.

Russia COULD just start bombing the supply chains outside of Ukraine now right? Since NATO just declared war and allied with a non NATO nation?

“can be relocated on the Q.T. quickly”

Doesn’t have to be on the QT if they can move 300 miles in one day, then fight.

But that’s not blitzkrieg 101. That’s advanced blitzkrieg, doctorate level. As far as I know only the USA can do that.

Well if they are/were RPGs....

BTW, I understand they have a grenade launcher that uses a 42mm thermobaric projectile.

Just like the US could have started bombing Vladivostok in 1967 (from which the Soviets supplied North Vietnam).

War with Russia was always the plan.
From Wesley Clark telling General Sir Michael Jackson to fire at the Russians at Pristina airbase back in the 90’s to Obama and his “red lines” in Syria to Hillary’s curious drumbeat of war with Russia during the 2016 election.
It’s always been about war with Russia.

The M1 is quite well protected from that IIRC.

All tanks can be destroyed, but its a matter of probabilities.

Yes - this is what really spooked me. The German Foreign Minister saying the quiet part out loud - we are at war with Russia.

Things are about to get a lot rowdier.

apologies for Twitter link, but here it is:worth the click and playing the short vid.

The Ukrainians actually have used alternate breakthrough/exploitation tactics. The primary thrust of three brigades to Kupiansk, or the northern attack (October 2) on the Kherson bridgehead.

This was all said at the time to have been based on NATO training.

Germany has realized they must have easy access to the natural resources from Russia that enable their industrial economy, so now they are ready and want European unity to ruin Russia in war, not just a proxy war.

The Brandon junta must be elated.

Wendy Sherman is an ancient policy wonk, skilled in social work for abused women. What does she know about advanced ground combat?

This is idiotic propaganda. The US officials could care less what the Ukraine does. They want the US to directly confront Russia in battle. Pure insanity.
