Ukraine is finally getting the Western-made tanks that it wants, but there's still a few big items on its wishlist. Kyiv says the next thing it wants is fighter jets.
"We have new tasks ahead: Western-type fighter jets, sanctions, Peace Formula implementation," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said after Germany announced on Wednesday it would send Leopard 2 main battle tanks, a decision that followed weeks of mounting pressure by European countries.
Yuriy Sak, an advisor to the Ukrainian defense minister, concurred, telling Reuters that "the next big hurdle will now be the fighter jets." Some others, however, have pointed to long-range missiles.

Ukraine should be made to report on a regular basis exactly what equipment they have received from NATO countries, how much remains in use and disposition of that which isn’t - need of parts, destroyed by enemy, etc.
Just translate the plane manuals into Russian or Ukrainian. They’ll be flying aces in 2 or 3 weeks. It worked against the alien invaders in “Battlefield:Earth”.

Obviously there has to be more than “planes” in the package. Pilots, mechanics, parts, parts and more parts.
Some of the planes that get “shot down” will bring a pretty penny on the black market.

Since Soviet pilots “secretly” fought against us in Korea and Vietnam I guess we’re going to return the favor.

Boots on the ground seems almost inevitable. Biden and Milley and the rest of the miscreants are sleepwalking the US toward a bad destination.
Ok, so Iraq has a couple of dozen F16s. Foreign counties get stripped down versions of our planes.
For folks like the Israelis, they install their own avionics and weapons systems in the planes they buy from us. From talking to Air Force buddies, their stuff is as good, if not better than what we put in our planes.
That being said, the iraqi pilots spent over 2 years learning how to fly those things.
But I’ll bet the Ghost of Kiev will lick it up in a day or two.

Conversion to a front line combat aircraft for a new pilot would usually take about six months to become limited combat ready. However, a more experienced pilot would take less than half that time, and someone requalifying on type after a break would only take a few weeks. If operational reasons demanded, then a much shorter course for experienced pilots learning a new type, focussed only on the relevant tactics and weapons, could be done in four to six weeks, much of which could be done on simulators.
