Special rules for the Intelligence Committee allow the speaker to halt Schiff and Swalwell's appointments on his own, but stopping Omar will require a full House vote.

Indiana Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz on Tuesday indicated that she would not support House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's effort to block Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar from sitting on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
"Two wrongs do not make a right. Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi [D-Calif.] took unprecedented actions last Congress to remove Reps. Greene and Gosar from their committees without proper due process," Spartz wrote in a statement. "Speaker McCarthy is taking unprecedented actions this Congress to deny some committee assignments to the Minority without proper due process again."

There are currently 222 Republicans in Congress, with 218 forming a majority. Spartz's refusal to support Omar's ouster in a floor vote leaves McCarthy with little room for defection, though the far-left "Squad" member is still unlikely to survive a floor vote.
"As I spoke against it on the House floor two years ago, I will not support this charade again. Speaker McCarthy needs to stop 'bread and circuses' in Congress and start governing for a change," she went on. Spartz voted present during several rounds of the lengthy leadership contest that saw McCarthy claim the gavel.

I *think* this is her first year there, but could be wrong. Maybe she was elected in 2020? Still, either way, she’s pretty new there.

Where were the representatives who are now “outraged” when the democrats did this to Republican representatives? Totally silent. They always seem shocked when their actions boomerang and come back to hit them in the head.
Also, neither Schiff nor Swaldwell should be anywhere near classified intelligence information. They have proven themselves to be corrupt. Anyone who is supporting them should be investigated to see what skeletons (classified info or Chinese handlers) are in their closets.

Is it also time to send all the Russians back home? And the Poles? And the Irish? And the Vietnamese? If they are here legally, good luck with that; because you better have a legal reason to send them packing, and it has to pass muster.
But, if they have become naturalized US citizens, chances are they are going nowhere unless their citizenship is revoked; and that’s a pretty tall order.
My mother was an immigrant. She came here legally, played by the rules, did everything by the book.
I remember when she was studying for the citizenship test. We’d sit around the kitchen table and take her questions and give her questions of our own, for her to answer.
She passed the exam, and the day she received her citizenship papers, the day she became a US citizen...she wept. She was a better US citizen than most who were lucky to have simply been born here.
Give Omar proper due process with the understanding that it will include her violations of immigration law and the whole nine yards. Expulsion from congress for violation of her oath should be on the table with such due process.
She is Ukrainian. Foreigners stick together.
