The US is neither a kingdom or an empire. It should not have the likeness of its leaders or notable on its coinage or bills.
Instead, use native animals like the eagle, buffalo, rattlesnake, monarch butterfly, hila monster and the standing, sitting and walking goddess of liberty.

There was a presidential series for dollar coins from 2007-2016.
They could rotate the presidents thru 20 dollar bills and get a lot of people to remove money from circulation.
