That happens as we age. I’ve worked in lots of nursing homes and in some way it’s sad but granny or grandpa, without meaning to (sometimes) will just blurt something out, be it profanity or some confidence or a family secret that is normally kept quiet out of some protocol or simple respect.
Their minds have lost certain abilities and customary restraints normal folks use in polite company.
