Actually, the push was to get him for lying under oath in a rape trial. He signed a law as president that pattern of behavior can be used as motivation to commit the crime. That is why he had to lie about Miss Lewinski. The sexual assault trial has never been used as to why he had to lie; everyone forgets that is why he had to give a deposition - nothing to do with sex with an intern.
