He was the front runner in the Dem Party leading the charge. He said the only way we can lose in Afghanistan if “politicians” are not committed to the War for the the long term.

That's not suicidal -- because if they faced an existential threat, and did nothing, they'd be guaranteed to die.
They are hoping to warn others off.

And then there's the financial realignment (BRICS vs. petrodollar) as well as skyrocketing excess deaths from the clot shots.

These folks are straight out of the Dark Ages. However, I think there are enough sane Russians that will step in and prevent this kind of lunacy from gaining any traction.

Politicians blow smoke; they bluster; they bluff; they ham for the camera. There are Russians who have power who will not allow Russia to commit suicide.
